Best egg vs. SoFi

SoFi offers personal loans of up to $100,000 compared to Best Egg’s $50,000 maximum, and the lender’s APRs only extend to around 20%, which is well below Best Egg’s maximum rate. Egg. Likewise, SoFi’s loan terms are more expansive, with options ranging from two to seven years compared to Best Egg’s three to five years. As with other competing lenders, SoFi charges no origination fees, making it a cheaper borrowing option than Best Egg.

Best egg vs. LightStream

LightStream offers personal loans between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on the purpose of your loan, and APRs starting below 3% with automatic payment (for certain loan purposes). Beyond the larger loan amounts, LightStream’s rates top out at just over 20%, well below those offered by Best Egg. That said, LightStream has stricter eligibility requirements than Best Egg, which makes it harder to get a personal loan.

LightStream also offers a wide range of loan terms ranging from just two years to 12 years, depending on the purpose of the loan. The lender also beats Best Egg on fees, as LightStream borrowers don’t pay prepayment penalties or origination fees.

Upgrade customers can borrow between $1,000 and $50,000, which is comparable to the loan amounts available through Best Egg. APRs are also similar between lenders, with upgrade rates ranging from around 6% to around 36%. Upgrade, however, offers more extensive loan terms than Best Egg, with terms between two and seven years, and imposes a lower minimum credit score requirement than Best Egg, at just 580.
